Loft Addition for a Cabin

Loft Addition for a Cabin

Project Brief: This project involves the design and engineering of an extension measuring 36 feet by 20 feet, complemented by a loft, to augment a 15-year-old cabin. The expansion is envisioned to include a multifunctional living/game room, complete with a cozy fireplace, a bunk room, a bathroom, and an additional loft space. The pre-existing cabin structure comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a family room, a kitchen, and a catwalk leading to an existing loft.

The objective is to transform this space into a charming rental retreat for vacationers’ post-completion. Concerns regarding the original contractor’s design, particularly the roof’s slope, have prompted the need for a thorough evaluation of the proposed structure and roofing system. The client requires a full suite of blueprints, meticulously detailed to guide the plumber through the preliminary installations, assist the framer with the structural assembly, and provide clear direction for the contractor and various subcontractors engaged in the project.

Location: Hochatown, Oklahoma.
